Process PD activity requests on the homepage

When a staff member requests a course using the PD activity request workflow in the Staff view, and you are the administrator or personnel manager responsible for those workflows, the request appears in the Tasks box on your Home page:

To process a PDClosed activity request workflowClosed:

  1. Log on to the system.
  2. On the homepage, in the Tasks box, click the task. Step 1 of the PD Activity Request approval appears.
  3. The staff member’s request information appears.

  1. Select Approved or Denied.
  2. Click Next. Step 2 of the PD Activity Request appears.
  3. Type a note or comment describing your decision.
  4. The system does one of the following:

    • If you deny the request, the system sends the staff member an email indicating that the request was denied.
    • If you approve the request and the course section enrollment type is Immediate, the system enrolls the staff member in the course section, and sends the staff member an email indicating that their request was approved.
    • If you approve the request and the course section enrollment type is Delayed, the system sends the staff member an email indicating that their request was tentatively approved. After the enrollment close date, you must process pending enrollments to officially approve enrollments and finalize rosters.
